Not all racehorses are winners on the track.
Unfortunately, tens of thousands of thoroughbreds, in the US are discarded via slaughter, auction pipeline, neglected or simply over looked in general.
With our mission to Rescue, Retrain and Rehome, we can make these survivors’ a winner in the Hunter Jumper discipline.
In the Hunter Jumper world there is a stigma to have the fanciest imported horse. We will provide the training hours, skillset and safe haven for these horses to develop.
When these horses rehome, they have the essential qualities to compete at local and national shows. This allows a budget friendly opportunity for equestrians to be safe and successful.
Once a horse arrives at the Hafner Equine Foundation, they will go into two weeks of quarantine. After we get an all clear from our vet professionals, we then begin the assessment process. Training can be a few weeks to months of rehabilitation.
